PHASES OF DESIGN
INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE BASICS

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
Typically this is the first design consultation. Here we talk about your project. What the issues are, and what is your goal. In a program we identify project parameters. Whether the project is a remodel, furnishings only, or complete ground up build. That is decided here. We also recommend having access to your Pinterest boards. Once we know what the scope is and what your design eye likes, we transition over into a pre-design phase called Schematic Design.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Here we see your initial ideas transforming to life. We take everything we learned from the Scope of Work to develop a preliminary design. This would include seeing the design in a visual format. Which includes Story Boarding, Design Presentations, Floor plans, and Elevation views will be provided to hone in on decisions about functionality. Once we decide what works best, we dive deeper into construction documentation.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION
Design documentation or Contract documentation. This phase involves meeting with the general contractor to oversee the plans and approve our shop drawings. If there are any questions of concerns, we address them here. All specifications are known. We can still make small edits but all big decisions have been made and are in motion. At this phase, the clients have decided on layout of the space and material selections. In this phase we are closing all construction documentation and are going into Bid Tendering and Project Management.

PROCUREMENT
In the final phases of design and construction we work closely with the general contractor to help us oversee the clients approved designs are coming along as planned. We provide any answers to questions that come from the contractor. Review cabinetry and millwork drawings prior to cabinetry install and delivery. Address any necessary change overs. Stay involved until the end of the project.
